TRL is a song created from heartbreak, paranoia and overall understanding; written after Mandella dealt with extreme betrayals, and felt as though he could not trust anyone. Through self discovery and exploration, Eskia was able to arrive at a place of love and understanding which helped him create this song. "Love, it don't cost nothing to show just a little love", as rapped by Eskia, is more of an affirmation than just a catchy hook; which places you in the mind of Mandella as he attempts to reclaim his humanity. Produced by MNDCFT and featuring Dirty Harts, TRL is sure to pull directly at the heart strings.
